I've been doing this bible thing for a few weeks now with little explanation. That's very good and all but I'm the type of person that will take routines to the extreme. I decide, for no real reason, that today I want to write about the bible. Well, no, it wasn't a snap decision to get myself in that far over my head for the new year, it was a decision to write. As in, it's a writing exercise but it's also a thinking exercise and a reading exercise. I was doing some things that were not productive, prep work, I guess. So this is more of that, but more purposeful.
That's not exactly like what I'm about to talk about, but it's what I came up with in the time I have for today. Raw rolling papers are garbage while Raw cones are a sturdy and reliable method of rolling.
I guess you could call it hobby supplies because my hobby requires a lot of rolling papers. I've used pretty much every brand that gets sold in gas stations in twenty miles. Most brands offer different variations of paper and sizes. This is normal. Raw seems to be one of the only companies trying to sell two different, but related products.
They have their cones. A fine product, albeit a bit messy at times. If you have any dedicated surface where you roll your marijuana cigarettes, that's not an issue. Basically, you grind up your product and kind of tap it into a tube that you then seal off and smoke. At the base of the tube is a cardboard tube that is folded and rolled in such a way as to act like a filter to prevent inhalation of any solid matter. Once it's all filled up, you can either light it or kind of twist it off for later to light. The only drawback to these is that the ones that get twisted for later can sometimes be a little goofy to light, depending on how you twist it and compact the topmost portion.
Their sorry excuse for rolling papers might as well be used to wipe a hamster's ass. The adhesive is junk. You need to almost slobber on it to get it to stick and when you do that the paper tends to rip. I roll something like 40-50 of these every week, of course with other papers. My point is that it's not like I'm in middle school ripping pages from the bible (see, it's related) and trying to roll that into something smoke-able.
What is confusing to me is that they both claim to be made of the same "natural unrefined rolling papers." Ok, so I'm being a bit dramatic about this version of their product. The fact is that their papers are terrible compared to their cones, but what's even worse and what's not even good enough for a hamster's ass is their hemp version.
To give you an idea of some quality products that I recommend for rolling: OCB Hemp papers (to prove not all hemp papers need be garbage), Zig Zag ultra thin, OCB bamboo, or Juicy Jay (if I'm feeling nostalgic).
Today was a weird day, and this needed to be said.
